Who we are
GiddyTees is operated by Key Publishing Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 02713662; VAT Reg. GB445558329). Our registered address is Units 1-4, Gwash Way Industrial Estate, Ryhall Road, Stamford, Lincolnshire, PE9 1XP, United Kingdom.
We are the data controller for personal information collected through this site. For privacy questions, please contact us at privacy@giddytees.com.
What information we collect
We collect only the information you provide to us directly:
- Newsletter subscribers — your email address, when you sign up to our newsletter.
- Contact form users — your name, email address, and the content of your message, when you write to us.
- Server logs — our hosting provider may log standard request data (IP address, user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and operational purposes. This data is not used for marketing or analytics.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or web analytics that profile individual users. We do not currently use marketing cookies.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies — small files that are strictly necessary for the website to function (for example, to remember a form submission). We do not use marketing or analytics cookies. Because no non-essential cookies are set, we do not display a cookie banner.
How we use your information
- Newsletter — we use your email address to send you our editorial newsletter, which you can unsubscribe from at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
- Contact enquiries — we use the information you provide to respond to your message and to keep a record of correspondence.
- Operations and security — we use server logs to keep the site online and to investigate abuse or technical issues.
Forms and processors
We use Formspree (Formspree, Inc.) to process newsletter sign-ups and contact form submissions. Formspree acts as a data processor on our behalf. Submitted data is stored in Formspree's systems and forwarded to our editorial inbox. Formspree's own privacy practices are described at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Hosting
This site is delivered through a static hosting provider. The provider may keep standard request logs for operational purposes. We do not pass user data to any other third party.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to lawful retention requirements)
- Object to processing or withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, please email privacy@giddytees.com.
How long we keep your information
- Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe, after which your address is deleted within 30 days.
- Contact enquiries — typically 24 months, after which they are deleted unless an ongoing matter requires retention.
- Server logs — typically 30 days.
Children's data
This site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated to newsletter subscribers in advance.
